Description

Are you a high school or college student with an interest in design, technology, or entrepreneurship? The Tech and Innovation Internship offers a PAID opportunity that will help you learn how to bring an idea to life and create your own startup! This program surpasses traditional internships, inviting you to spend the summer collaborating in teams and engaging with mentors who will guide you in building a startup. You'll hone your problem-solving skills, gain practical experience in product development, UI/UX design, or software development, connect with local tech experts, visit industry partner offices, and more!

Schedule/Important Dates


•   College cohort (current 12th graders through college students) runs from June 9th - August 15th, 2025.
•   High School cohort (current 10th and 11th grader students) runs from June 23rd - August 15th, 2025.
•   Applications are NOW OPEN until April 30, 2025, or until capacity is reached. Early applications are encouraged.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who can apply for the program?
The program is open to high school (current 10th and 11th graders) and college students (current 12th graders and college students) living in the Philadelphia area who have an interest in the tech and innovation space.


When do applications open?
Applications will be open from the end of October 2024 until April 2025, or until we reach capacity.

When is the internship held?
The college cohort runs from early June 9th to August 15th, and the high school cohort runs from June 23rd to early August 15th.

Will the internship be in-person or virtual?
This hybrid program is mostly in-person with weekly virtual work days. There will be several in-person site visits and virtual workshops throughout the program with industry partners and mentors.


What positions are available?
The internship includes three different positions: Product Manager, Software Developer, and UI/UX Designer.

Do you need previous experience to apply?
No prior technical knowledge is required for the internship. Our most successful candidates are curious, self-motivated individuals who are willing to think creatively and continuously improve.

Is there a cost for enrollment?
No, Coded by: programs are free for all participants. The Tech & Innovation Internship is a PAID position. Interns will receive $500 per week.
