Go from using websites to building one of your own. In CodeLab, students learn the basics of HTML and CSS, experiment with text, images, color, and styling, and create a custom fan page inspired by something they’re interested in.
The CodeLab workshop gives students a hands-on introduction to coding and web development through HTML and CSS, the building blocks behind the web. Students will learn how websites are put together, practice writing and reading real code, and experiment with text, images, color, and styling to see their ideas take shape on the screen.
They’ll put those skills to work by creating a fan page around something they’re into, from a favorite game or artist to a hobby, sport, or character. Along the way, students will play coding games, explore what web developers do, and learn how small changes in code can completely change the way a page looks and feels.
